Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a biographical film, a tribute to legendary sprinter Milkha Singh released in India on 12 July 2013. This is a true story of the world champion runner and Olympian Milkha Singh. Milkha Singh is one of the first athletes to put India on the global map of sports.

Movie received many positive reviews and became the 21st film to enter the coveted Bollywood 100 Crore Club. Several states across India have declared Bhaag Milkha Bhaag tax free.

The early life of Flying Sikh is also depicted in the movie. India-Pakistan partition was accompanied by the largest mass migration in human history resulted in mass religious violence in Punjab killing the parents of Milkha Singh. As many as 1 million civilians died in the accompanying riots, particularly in the western region of Punjab which was cut in two by the border. Movie focuses on Milkha Singh’s early life and career. Adapting to ups and downs throughout his life; he become one of India's most iconic male athletes.

The film ends with a statement from the Flying Sikh explaining his approach to the problem of his complex life story:

“Hard work, willpower & dedication; for a person with these qualities, the sky is the limit”
